the art of change

Who am I?
There is more than one way to understand people

I did not come to this work through a conventional path.
Before making this my profession, I worked in different sectors, held senior management positions, developed projects and lived in several countries.
I experienced very different environments, periods of success, and others that required adaptation, decision-making and sometimes starting again.
When I turned to this field nearly twenty years ago, that experience came with me. It still deeply influences the way I work today.
I am interested first in the person in front of me, before deciding which tool we are going to use.
One profession, several perspectives
I am now a hypnotherapist, coach and trainer. I practise privately in Geneva and Lausanne, as well as in a hospital setting at the equYlibre Integrative Medicine Centre of the Établissements hospitaliers du Nord vaudois.
I also train hypnotherapists and supervise experienced practitioners.
Hypnosis naturally plays an important role in my work, but it is not an end in itself. Depending on the person and the situation, I may also draw on coaching, mental preparation or other tools developed throughout my professional journey.
I do not apply a method to a person. I look for what may be useful for that particular person, at that particular moment.
Experience does not come only from the consulting room
Equestrianism and self-defence, both of which I have taught, have strongly influenced my understanding of stress and performance.
They taught me something I encounter constantly in my work: a person can know perfectly well how to do something, yet no longer be able to access their abilities when the pressure rises.
Horse coaching grew out of the same curiosity about human mechanisms and led me to work differently on leadership, confidence and relationships.
My academic background in political science left me with something else: a desire to understand systems, to look at situations from several angles, and to be wary of explanations that are too simple.
All of this ultimately enters the room when I work with someone.

What Matters to Me

Over the years, the methods have multiplied, and so have the experiences.
But my conviction has become simpler.
Behind a problem, a goal or an important deadline, there is always a person — with their own story, resources and particular way of functioning.
My role is not to impose a particular way of changing on them.
It is to understand what is happening well enough to help them find their own way forward.
